When Kevin Christie and Annie Patrick founded CFI over two decades ago, it was founded on one singular philosophy – to not treat our partners as mere customers, but as family. CFI is a family business at heart with three generations of blood flowing through it. What started as a single revolutionary component and a dream has turned into an international company operating in multiple continents all working in all OEM industries including aerospace, automotive and appliance industries.

CFI, with our revolutionary "Vendor Base of One" concept, is able to analyze our partners' parts, usage and prices in order to find improved methods of procurement and materials. Through CFI's expertise of materials and logistics, we are able to simultaneously improve the quality of their components while lowering their costs. This Vendor Base of One concept is the bedrock of our partnerships – but it's the unparalleled level of service is what keeps CFI working in collaboration with our partners for years or even decades.

Technological expertise

CFI has several innovate solutions for component manufacturing including our Qualiforming© Cold Form Isolation Technology process. This process, developed by our CEO and founder Kevin Christie was specifically created for the automotive industry. This cold forming process attains screw machine-like quality while saving automotive OEMs cost and delays that come with that process. Qualiforming© isn't the only weapon in CFI's arsenal. Our C-Coat system was specifically created to provide parts that are corrosion resistant, oil free and have an additive that increases weld strength by up to four times as much as our competitors' coatings. This coating can be applied to several different types of components and materials including: weld nuts, weld screws, steel, plates, and other materials.
